Tamara is supreme

I recently discovered Tamara de Lempicka while I was in Mexico City. They had her paintings at Palacio de Bellas Artes. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of her before! The colors she used in her paintings are so vibrant and solid and the paintings are so full of life. You have to see them to really love them.

I could tell you more about her, but there's so much to tell. Her life was truly fascinating. I was recently sent a copy of a play inspired by her life and work, called Deco Diva.

You are so vile!

You are so vile and I hate your guts!
You think you're better, but you deserve the gutter!
You treat me bad, blah, you're so blah!
This poem isn't any good
But's it made for you.

Maybe they'll fire me.

23 is supreme

Now that I am 23, I want to: travel, buy more dresses, write more, direct a short film, finish a stupid script, take nicer and better photographs, dance again, try to earn some money, try meditation or yoga or something to become less anxious, eat less..., read all of Murakami's books, have more girl-night-outs, worry less, be less lazy, wash my face every night (you age 10 years when you don't), get my fucking degree.

japanese supreme

Seiichi Hayashi is a Japanese artist, because not only is he a super talented illustrator, but also film director, manga artist, children's book artist... His work of art starts back in the 60's-70's and they are truly detailled and delicate like rice paper, but never outdated. I'm quite lucky to have stomped across these.
